At its most recent convention on May 29 and 30, 2010 in Québec City, the Federation’s members voted unanimously in favour of a historic resolution in support of the global campaign of Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) against Israeli apartheid.  

[BBC News] 6 June 2010 - Influential US rock group Pixies have cancelled their first performance in Israel, blaming "events beyond our control".   The group did not specify why they were pulling out of the show, which was due to take place in Tel Aviv on 9 June.   However, organisers said the decision was linked to Israel's deadly raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla last week.

Jonathan Kalmus [The JC] June 4, 2010 - Britain's largest union, Unite, has unanimously passed a motion to boycott Israeli companies at its first policy conference in Manchester on Wednesday.   The motion, which passed unanimously, called the union "to vigorously promote a policy of divestment from Israeli companies", while a boycott of Israeli goods and services will be "similar to the boycott of South African goods during the era of apartheid".  

[YNet] 4 June 2010 - Norway's military says it has canceled a special operations seminar because the Defense Ministry objected to the inclusion of an Israeli army officer in the program.

 

Military spokeswoman Maj. Heidi Langvik-Hansen says the Defense Ministry was unhappy that the Israeli officer, identified only as Col. Toledano, would be delivering a talk in Oslo only weeks after Israel's deadly commando raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla. (AP)

[Haaretz] 4 June 2010 - The Klaxons and the Gorillaz Sound System have both canceled their performances in Israel this week, apparently due to Israel's deadly raid on the Gaza-bound humanitarian aid flotilla and the ensuing worldwide political fallout over the incident.   Both groups were supposed to arrive in Israel on Friday to headline the Pic.Nic. Festival to be held at the Expo Grounds in Tel Aviv.

AFP [YNet] 2 June 2010 - Managua slams 'illegal nature of attack on Gaza aid flotilla, reiterates support for Palestinians   Nicaragua suspended diplomatic ties with Israel on Tuesday in protest at Israel's raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla that killed nine people, President Daniel Ortega's office said.
