Este 30 de marzo fue la conmemoración del Día de la Tierra Palestina y diversos grupos en todo el mundo realizaron distintas campañas y actividades en solidaridad al pueblo palestino. Algunas de las organizaciones que se sumaron a la conmemoración fueron la Federación General de Sindicatos Independientes - Palestina y la Nueva Federación Palestina de Sindicatos que escribieron una carta a las instituciones públicas en Europa haciendo un llamado a boicotear a la empresa ferroviaria CAF. Urge Allied executives to stop G4S complicity in Israeli occupation and apartheid!
We, the undersigned civil society organizations, write to you regarding your recent acquisition of G4S - which continues to be the target of an international boycott and divestment campaign launched by Palestinian human rights and civil society organizations nine years ago.
Today, on April 17th, Palestinian Prisoner’s Day, we the undersigned Palestinian civil society and human rights organisations salute all Palestinian political prisoners in their struggles for justice and freedom. Emphasizing imprisonment as a critical component of Israel’s regime of occupation, colonialism and apartheid practised against the Palestinian people, we call for intensifying global Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaigns targeting corporations, like G4S/Allied Universal, for their complicity in Israel’s war crimes and brutal policing and prison system.
On March 23, the University of Costa Rica announced new ethics standards that would ensure the university will not enter into any cooperation agreements that support Israel’s regime of military occupation, colonialism and apartheid. The new ethics standards follow a campaign for the boycott of complicit Israeli academic institutions and against militarization led by the Federation of Students of the University of Costa Rica (FEUCR).
To commemorate Palestinian Land Day and denounce CAF’s involvement in Israeli apartheid, numerous events took place across Europe. The General Federation of Independent Trade Unions - Palestine and the Palestinian New Federation of Trade Unions wrote a letter to public institutions in Europe which reads:

The IFA not only includes teams in illegal Israeli settlements on stolen Palestinian land, it actively advocates to maintain them. Puma’s logo is directly under an official map of settlement teams and pitches on the IFA website.
A group of 23 MEPs wrote to President of the European Parliament David Maria Sassoli concerning the institution’s contract with the British multinational security company G4S.
Forty-five years ago today, Israeli police shot and killed six Palestinian citizens of Israel as they were protesting the Israeli government’s expropriation of thousands of dunums of Palestinian land. Since then, March 30 has been commemorated by Palestinians everywhere as Land Day. Even though Israel has put its official annexation of more Palestinian land on pause, its de facto annexation, which has been going on for decades, is escalating. Israel keeps on stealing Palestinian land, denying Palestinian livelihood, as a means of ethnic cleansing.
