Un llamamiento de Palestina a los movimientos mundiales por la justicia climática: Poner fin al #GenocidioEnGaza es una cuestión climática
El 9 de diciembre, día de acción por la justicia climática, hacemos un llamamiento a los movimientos por la tierra, indígenas y por la justicia climática para que alcen sus voces por Palestina.
Boicot, Desinversión, Sanciones (BDS) es un movimiento dirigido por palestinos por la libertad, la justicia y la igualdad. BDS sostiene el principio simple que los palestinos tienen derecho a los mismos derechos que el resto de la humanidad.
In Euskal Herria (Basque Country), as in other countries all over the world, there have been many demonstrations in solidarity with Palestine. In addition to the amount of people who have taken part in these demonstrations (there have been demonstrations in more than 30 cities and towns in Basque Country with more than 30.000 people in them), there are other remarkable aspects to this growing Palestine-solidarity movement:
Today the Stockholm community council in Sweden announced that the French company Veolia who has been the current operator at the Subway’s in Stockholm County for 10 years lost the contract to the MTR-cooperation. The contracts for the coming 8 years is worth 3,5 Billion EURO and has been the biggest ongoing public contract procurement process in Europe.
In February 2007, AFPS brought suit to the Magistrates’ Court of Nanterre against VEOLIA TRANSPORT and ALSTOM seeking to obtain cancellation of the contract for the construction and operation of a light rail system in the West Bank, signed in July 2005 between these two companies and the Israeli government, within the City Pass consortium.
By The Alternative Information Center - On 1 November a group of Palestinian, Israeli and international activists, in response to the Palestinian civil society call for boycott, divestment and sanctions against Israel, joined international efforts to boycott Veolia in Europe.
A network of seventeen Palestinian human rights NGOs today launched a campaign to mobilize the international community to end Israel’s expulsion of Palestinians from Jerusalem.
The Civic Coalition for Jerusalem is calling for a ‘blacklist’ of corporations supporting the occupation of Jerusalem, and is asking activists all over the world to research companies in their own countries to go on the list.
