Palestinians Honored by The Association of Black Anthropologists' Endorsement of #AnthroBoycott Motion

The Palestinian Federation of Unions of University Professors and Employees (PFUUPE) and the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) are honored to have The Association of Black Anthropologists (ABA) standing alongside us in the universal struggle for freedom, justice and equality.

We warmly thank the ABA for endorsing the motion currently before the membership of the American Anthropological Association for the boycott of Israeli academic institutions complicit in Israel’s violent regime of military occupation, settler-colonialism, and apartheid oppressing the Palestinian people.

We are grateful to the ABA for roundly rejecting “the colonial inclination to speak for oppressed peoples” and recognizing and respecting Palestinians’ capacity to “know what will be most useful in [our] struggle toward liberation.”

Black Palestinian solidarity has a long and rich history, connected as much through our shared experience of state violence as through our liberation struggles.

Together with oppressed peoples across the globe, we will continue to fight against racism, discrimination, colonial domination, and oppression.

Together we will win.
