Leonard Cohen is planning to play in Israel later this year. He is playing in Weybridge on the 11th. Come and join us in saying "Don‘t Play in Israel"

There will be a ‘Leonard Cohen — don’t play Israel!’ demo before his concert in Weybridge, SW London, on Saturday 11th July. Supported by PSC, Bricup and J-BIG, this adds to the campaign that supporters of Palestine have been waging throughout his world tour which is still planned to include his concert in Tel Aviv in September. News that he may also play in Ramallah does NOT exonerate him from complicity with Israel and its war crimes.

Meet at Weybridge station 15.30 (trains from Waterloo take 25 mins).
Flyers and some banners & placards provided but please bring your own — with relevant messages. See this map for the location.

Details

The concert is at Mercedes-Benz World — an open air stadium. We will demonstrate near Weybridge station, meeting there at 15.30, aiming at concert-goers arriving by train and walking or getting the shuttle bus to venue, but also ferry some people to a site on the road route to the stadium to be visible to those arriving by car. There are trains from Waterloo on Saturdays at 14.42 and 14.50. If travelling by road from South London, you need to take the South Circular (West) which is also the A3 most of the way but for last bit of route get directions to Weybridge from the AA site then follow signs to Weybridge station. Or an easier route is via the M25 leaving at junction 10 if coming from the south or junction 11 if from north. Again, details from AA. There are 2 commuter car parks near Weybridge station with off-peak rates after 2pm.
