A new investigative report shows that as of 30 June 2024, French multinational insurance giant AXA holds $150.43 million – US$78.87 million in shares and US$71.56 million in bonds – in eleven companies that are arming Israel during its #GazaGenocide. These are: Rolls-Royce, GE Aerospace (formerly General Electric), Honeywell Technologies, Textron, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, RTX (formerly Raytheon Technologies), L3Harris Technologies and BAE Systems.

The student-led and faculty-supported mobilizations to end Israel’s genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza and its underlying system of settler-colonial apartheid are making incredible strides that were unthinkable just a few months ago.

The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) - a founding member of the Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC), the largest entity in Palestinian society that leads the global BDS movement - sent this letter to ReSource on September 24. Since that time, the number of Palestinians killed by Israel in Gaza has increased to more than 42,000 and injured to at least 99,000. Considering that ReSource still insists on crossing the Palestinian picket line, we call on our supporters in Ireland and the students of Burren College of Art to boycott the symposium hosted by ReSource, Towards Cultures of Healing & Seeing with New Eyes: Making Trauma Visible, which will be held from October 23 - 26.

Over the course of Israel’s year-long live-streamed genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza, it has attacked the United Nations repeatedly. It has killed 228 UN staff members in Gaza—the highest number of UN personnel killed in any conflict since the creation of the UN.

More than one year into the livestreamed genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in the occupied and besieged Gaza Strip, Palestinians stand united in resisting Israel’s genocide and decades-old regime of settler-colonialism, occupation and apartheid. We call on trade unions and workers worldwide to escalate BDS pressure to end the complicity of states, corporations and institutions in Israel’s crimes against the entire Palestinian people, as well as the fraternal people of Lebanon, among others.

In September, the UN General Assembly passed a historic resolution, calling for states and the UN to sanction Israel. This resolution affirmed that the July 2024 ruling by the ICJ triggers the legal obligation of all states to end complicity in Israel’s illegal occupation and apartheid regime. 124 states across the globe committed to take the first steps to impose sanctions. The time to make this a reality is now!

Israel’s genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians grinds on, destroying Gaza and causing a catastrophic human and environmental disaster of untold proportions. On the occasion of COP29, we call on all civil society organisations at COP29 and around the world to mobilise urgently to impose an energy embargo on Israel to stop the genocide in Palestine and put an end to Israel's apartheid, illegal occupation and ecocide.

After a large scale and creative boycott campaign that contributed to huge financial losses and reputational damage, Majid Al Futtaim Group, the partner of the French Group Carrefour in most of the Arab region, announced the complete termination of its commercial dealings with Carrefour in Jordan.

The MV Kathrin is a cargo vessel carrying military explosives to Israel, in violation of the Genocide Convention and the UN Human Rights Council call for a comprehensive military embargo on Israel. After Namibian authorities investigated and prevented the vessel from docking, releasing details about its criminal cargo, global mobilization is growing to stop the military supplies for apartheid Israel’s ongoing genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza from reaching their destination.

The Maersk Denver is part of the Maersk fleet that is implicated in shipping US military supplies to Israel and is therefore reasonably suspected* of carrying illegal military cargo destined to Israel. This is in violation of a UNHRC resolution, a UNGA resolution, and statements by dozens of UN human rights experts, all calling for a military embargo on Israel due to its illegal occupation and its commission of a plausible genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza, as the ICJ determined earlier this year.
