Palestinian civil society, as broadly represented in the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions National Committee (BNC), wishes to express its gratitude for Brazil’s recent recognition of a Palestinian state and its continued dedication to facilitating the realisation of a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the entire Middle East region.

Last night Bethlehem’s sister city in Australia again made history by voting to support the United Palestinian Call for Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions. 

On December 7, 2010, members of the Ontario Legislature condemned an MA thesis written by Jenny Peto, a recent graduate of the Sociology and Equity Studies program at OISE-UT (Read the Transcript of the Legislature). This unprecedented denunciation of an MA thesis in the legislature comes on the heels of criticism of the thesis by people associated with Israel advocacy organizations, which received coverage in the National Post and the Toronto Star.
