Boycott Xbox

Sign the pledge to boycott Microsoft’s Xbox

The BDS movement is partnering with No Games For Genocide. Together we can help end Microsoft's deep complicity in Israel's genocide in Gaza and apartheid regime against all Palestinians. No Games For Genocide are a group of game workers, activists, union organisers. Together, we can end the complicity of the games industry in genocide, war crimes, and the military-industrial complex.

Microsoft’s Xbox is a priority BDS target. Sign the pledge now and join hundreds of gamers, streamers, game workers, and gaming journalists to boycott Xbox until Microsoft ends its criminal complicity in Israel's genocide and regime of military occupation and apartheid against Palestinians.

Call to action for gamers, streamers, journalists, game workers:

Gamers: tell Microsoft “genocide isn’t a game!” by boycotting Microsoft games and products.

  • Cancel your Xbox Game Pass subscription. Game Pass is one of Xbox’s biggest money makers. Hitting Xbox where it hurts means hitting Microsoft where it hurts.
  • Boycott Xbox published games. This includes both games they sell on Xbox storefronts, and games they sell on Steam and Windows Store. Including Xbox’s biggest money makers– Candy Crush, Minecraft, Call of Duty, and other big titles.
  • Boycott Microsoft gaming hardware, such as Xbox consoles, headsets, controllers and other accessories.

Streamers: use your platform for good. Pledge to end complicity and encourage your viewers to do the same.

  • Don’t play any Xbox published games on stream. There are plenty of other games to play on stream, including games made by Palestinian developers and creatives.
  • Don’t take sponsorships from Xbox or Xbox owned studios.
  • Perhaps most importantly as someone with a public platform, actively discuss why you aren’t playing Xbox games or taking Xbox and Xbox studios sponsorships. Use your platform to get others involved, and spread calls to action for gamers, journalists, developers and workers!

Game workers: don’t publish games on the Xbox and Microsoft Stores and organise with your co-workers

  • Don’t accept any funding or promotion from Xbox or Microsoft.
  • Don’t publish games on the Xbox and Microsoft Stores. If you run a game development studio, demand your publisher not publish your game on the Xbox and Microsoft Stores.
  • Join a union and organise with your co-workers and demand your games are not published on Xbox and Microsoft Stores.
  • If you are in a union make a public statement calling out Microsoft’s complicity.

Journalists: refuse to cover any Xbox-published games and raise awareness of the Xbox boycott.

Palestinians call on everyone to sign the Boycott Xbox pledge today. Viable gaming alternatives exist. Genocide is not a game.
