1 - Israeli forces are testing their weapons on defenseless civilians at this time. Later, the images of the bombings of residential buildings, hospitals, etc. will be used to promote the sale of these weapons.
2 - Israeli forces are committing war crimes against Palestinians. They are starving the population, targeting homes, using banned white phosphorus and ordering the evacuation of the northern half of Gaza. Palestinians have nowhere to go.
3 - U.S. places “no conditions” on the use of weapons which it delivers to Israel. An arms embargo will force the U.S. to stop arming Israel’s murderous army. Hundreds of defenseless Palestinian civilians are killed by U.S. weapons every day.
4 - Israeli calls for genocide against Palestinians have never been stronger. Calls for indiscriminate bombing, committing a second Nakba, “cleaning” the Gaza Strip and waging war against “human animals” are grounds for imposing an immediate arms embargo on Israel.
5 - The largest consumer of Israeli weapons in 2021-2022 was Azerbaijan, which used them in Nagorno Karabakh against Armenian civilians in an act of ethnic cleansing. Countries which are undeterred by the crimes in Nagorno Karabakh and are still buying Israeli weapons are suspected of planning to commit war crimes themselves.
6 - Israel’s largest arms companies, Elbit Systems, IAI and Rafael, require funds to finance the development of cruel weapons. Buying Israeli weapons finances Israel’s war machine and enables the Israeli military-industrial complex to fuel further bloodshed.
7 - Israeli arms companies are staffed, managed and owned by retired Israeli officers, those accused of war crimes and who have accumulated their “security expertise” by implementing a cruel regime of apartheid against the Indigenous Palestinian population. Doing business with Israel fuels impunity.
8 - Arms trade with apartheid Israel is a dangerous and immoral act of complicity with Israel’s settler colonial regime. History will remember those who enabled crimes against humanity.
9 - Israel’s weapons were designed to oppress defenseless civilians. They were proven repeatedly useless as defensive weapons. The latest Israeli total intelligence failure proves that its mass surveillance is useful for oppression, not warning.
10 - Israel’s apartheid regime can only survive with international support. The Israeli government exploits every arms deal as evidence that Israel can get away with its crimes. The current Israeli war minister Gallant said in a 2013 interview: “The West are hypocrites. They criticize us but then come to learn from us how to turn blood into money.”
11—Israeli arms companies, especially Elbit Systems, pursue a business model that creates long-term dependency on renewable contracts for maintenance and training for their customers. A settler colonial state in a state of economic and social implosion may not be able to fulfill its long-term obligations, leaving customers with useless and costly military systems that will become inoperable without maintenance.
12—Israel’s technological advantage in defense technology has been exposed as nothing more than hype. Young, educated Israelis are leaving the country in large numbers. Investors are pulling out from the so-called “startup nation,” which has become a #ShutdownNation. Any military that is easily deceived by this hype exposes itself as foolish, incompetent, or seriously corrupt.
