La "Coalición Canadiense de BDS", "BDS Boston" y "Comité BDS-ULB" no forman parte del movimiento BDS, dirigido por el Comité Nacional Palestino de BDS (BNC). El BNC ha pedido a los grupos que eliminen BDS de sus nombres.
El movimiento de BDS advierte a todos los grupos asociados, simpatizantes y quienes nos siguen en las redes sociales y medios de comunicación sobre los grupos deshonestos que no están afiliados al movimiento de BDS pero que utilizan el nombre de BDS sin el consentimiento de la dirección del movimiento, el Comité Nacional Palestino de BDS (BNC), la mayor coalición palestina.
