Help us build an even stronger BDS movement

This year has seen the start of an uprising, led mostly by Palestinian youth who are confronting Israel’s occupation and apartheid and asserting the Palestinian right to self-determination and freedom.

2015 has also seen the international Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement breaking new ground:

  • Major bodies such as the UN and the World Bank as well as theIsraeli government say that BDS is starting to have a significant economic impact.
  • French multinational Veolia was compelled to completely abandon its role in illegal Israeli projects after BDS campaigning cost it billions of dollars.
  • Lauryn Hill joined thousands of artists in Canada, Ireland, South Africa, the UK, the US and elsewhere who now support BDS or refrain from performing in Israel.
  • Major academic bodies such as the American Anthropological Association and the Women Studies Association and the have declared support for the academic boycott of Israel.

Yet Israel is still able to breach international law with impunity: it has still not been held to account for decades of violations of Palestinian rights and war crimes, including its 2014 massacre of Palestinians in Gaza.

We need to take our movement to the next level, mainstreaming it further and developing even stronger and more widely supported pressure campaigns.

Please make a contribution to the Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC), the broadest coalition of Palestinian parties, unions and networks that leads and supports the global BDS movement.
