In February 2007, AFPS brought suit to the Magistrates’ Court of Nanterre against VEOLIA TRANSPORT and ALSTOM seeking to obtain cancellation of the contract for the construction and operation of a light rail system in the West Bank, signed in July 2005 between these two companies and the Israeli government, within the City Pass consortium.

"Israel IS NOT ABOVE THE LAW" - The European Parliament (EP) today postponed the vote on the proposal by the EU Commission and Council for the draft recommendation to conclude a Protocol to the EU-Israel Association Agreement and on the general principles governing the State of Israel's participation in Community programmes.   The vote was originally scheduled for Thursday, December 4, in the EP in Brussels.

The Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire has recently passed a resolution to support the call for divestment from corporations that allow and profit from the Israeli occupation of Palestine. The resolution intends to increase awareness of the companies that actively participate in the oppression of Palestine, and to divest from these companies.

The European Parliament (EP) has recently announced that a vote will be held on December 4 to enter into force the EU-Israel Association Agreement, which will enable far greater Israeli participation in European Community programs. 

Today, the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Palestinian civil society, represented by the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Campaign National Committee (BNC), launches its strategic position paper as a basis for anti-racist intervention at and beyond the UN Durban Review Conference. This Position Paper summarizes the findings of UN human rights mechanisms and independent experts, who have raised concerns that Israel‘s regime may amount to institutionalized racial discrimination and/or apartheid, as well as their substantial recommendations.
