Globes - The contract is worth nearly NIS 300 million over three years. Israel Military Industries Ltd. (IMI) subsidiary Ashot Ashkelon Industries Ltd. (TASE: ASHO) has signed a three-year contract with the Ministry of Defense for the manufacture and delivery of systems for armored fighting vehicles.

The Israeli chamber of commerce in Vienna (Austria) have got the permission, for the opening of the «Tel Aviv Beach »  from the Mayor of Vienna (Häupl, socialist)  on the Viennese Donaukanal (right bank) to honor the 100 years of Tel Aviv this year. On the 10th of May the beach has been opened to the public. In  strong protest against this obscene « Tel Aviv Beach » all pro Palestinian organisations (Women in black, the anti-imperialist movement, the Austrian -Arab associations, moslem organisations,) together opened the «Gaza Beach » on the left bank of the Donaukanal.

Palestine Solidarity Campaign - UK Release Israeli tourism ads are being removed from the tube, following massive pressure and complaints. Late last week, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign started to receive information from members about adverts that they had seen on the London Underground. The adverts by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism and ThinkIsrael included a map that included the West Bank, Gaza Strip and the Golan Heights .

BDS Campaign targeting MEC's ties to Israeli Apartheid Continues - On April 30th, members of Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) brought a resolution to the Co-op’s Annual General meeting calling for MEC to halt business ties with Israel.

Defense Industry Daily - In April 2005, Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) and Elbit Systems won an contract to supply medium endurance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to the Turkish military. Turkey’s local industry would provide sub-systems and services amounting to 30% of the contract.

[Globes] - The company will supply 12.7mm remote controlled weapon stations for jeeps. Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) has won a €25 million contract from the Austrian Army for the company's new 12.7mm unmanned electrically remote controlled weapon stations. Deliveries will be made over the next four years. This is Elbit Systems' third international contract within a week.

(Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) reported first quarter revenue of $656.9 million, 6.6% higher than the $616.1 million recorded in the first quarter of 2008. The company pointed to increased sales of communication equipment and unmanned air vehicle systems to a number of customers.
