The Year 2009 has proved to be a watershed in the growth of the global BDS movement.  The massive lethal Israeli war of aggression on the Gaza Strip in late December 2008 and January 2009 galvanized many organized groups and individuals around the world to call for BDS actions as a means to end Israel’s criminal impunity and disregard for international law.

A year since the people of the world demanded that Israel end its attack on Gaza.

(AFP) 16 December 2009 – Palestinian customs officials on Wednesday dumped tens of thousands of dollars worth of Dead Sea beauty products into dumpsters as part of a boycott of goods made in Israeli settlements.   "This destruction ... is in keeping with the decision of the Palestinian leadership to prevent the import and sale of products produced in the settlements," local official Munthar Erakat said.

AP, RAMALLAH, West Bank — The Palestinian government announced Tuesday that it is enforcing a boycott of goods made in Israel's West Bank settlements and has confiscated more than $1 million in merchandise from shops and companies.
