Israeli filmmakers and artists including Oscar-nominated director Guy Davidi and Turner Prize co-winner Tai Shani have urged Locarno International Film Festival to cancel its Thursday screening of an Israeli film due to concerns over its funding.

Over the last few days, we have witnessed yet another televised massacre by apartheid Israel against Indigenous Palestinians in Gaza, with over 40 murdered, including 15 children, and hundreds injured.

Dear [title and name of official] We are writing to you in the wake of Israel’s recent massacre of Palestinians in Gaza to implore you to take immediate action to end the ongoing systematic oppression and murder of Palestinians. With the United National General Assembly (UNGA) meetings coming up in September we ask that you heed the calls of Palestinian civil society and demand that the UN establish an investigation into Israel’s crime against humanity of apartheid.

It's been 15 years since Israel imposed a hermetic, medieval siege on Gaza from all directions, transforming it into the world’s largest and most brutal open-air prison.  For more than seven decades, Israel’s regime of settler-colonialism, apartheid and military occupation has been ethnically cleansing us, destroying our homes, stealing our land, and violently crushing our lives and livelihoods.

Palestinian sports teams, whose players have lost lives and limbs to Israeli soldiers’ brutal violence, are pledging not to be silent. They won’t stop speaking out about Israel’s apartheid regime that oppresses all Palestinians, including athletes. They won’t stop holding accountable corporations that are propping up Israeli apartheid. That includes PUMA. Support the Palestinian clubs.

The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) calls on all film institutions, including international festivals, cinemas and distributors, to boycott films funded from 2017* onwards by the Yehoshua Rabinovich Foundation for the Arts’s Israel Cinema Project.

Palestinians urge Rodrigo y Gabriela to cancel their planned concert at the apartheid Tel Aviv Culture Center, officially known as the Charles Bronfman auditorium, after its major funder.

We warmly welcome the withdrawal of the many international writers and public figures from the Beyond the Lone Offender conference in Hamburg – which has been almost entirely cancelled as a result of its organisers' complicity in Germany's shameful anti-Palestinian racism. The conference organisers, the Goethe Institut, had disinvited renowned Palestinian poet and journalist Mohammed El Kurd, leading to an inspiring display of solidarity from literary and public figures, including Ijeoma Oluo, Mohammed Hanif and others.

Over the last year Indigenous Palestinians have endured Israeli apartheid, brutal repression, and ongoing Nakba. Nevertheless, we have achieved many milestones with your support. One recent and major milestone is Amnesty International’s February 2022 report concluding that Israel’s cruel system of racial domination over the entire Palestinian people constitutes the crime against humanity of apartheid.

The BDS National Committee (BNC), the largest Palestinian civil society coalition that leads the Palestinian anti-apartheid movement for freedom, justice and equality, extends its sincere condolences to the family, friends and comrades of Yasmin “Jessie” Duarte and to the people of South Africa.

Biden’s joint declaration with the racist Israeli leader is, as expected, a fest of hate, racism and warmongering. It further exacerbates U.S. complicity in funding, defending and enabling Israel’s decades-old regime of military occupation, settler-colonialism and apartheid.
