An invitation to an information meeting about “pro-Israel” student delegations was sent by the secretariat of Tel Aviv University’s Department of Political Communications to all of its graduates on Monday (16 May).  

The book, Greenwashing Apartheid: The Jewish National Fund's Environmental Cover Up, is available free on line. CHICAGO, IL (May 15, 2010)—Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at DePaul University has been campaigning for the University to stop selling Sabra hummus products on its campuses. SJP is concerned with the actions of Sabra’s parent company, the Strauss Group, which provides financial support and supplies to two Israeli military brigades, the Givati and Golani.

During the National Complaints Day, 400 Belgians filed a complaint against the Israeli firm Agrexco. Agrexco is Israel’s main exporter of agricultural goods from the illegal settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. The Belgian airport of Liège is one of the main hubs for its distribution network across Europe. Agrexco has been challenged for its involvement in trade with the settlements for years, but refuses to cut its commercial ties with their agricultural business.

Are boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) proving effective at isolating Israel as a form of pressure to end its violations of Palestinian rights? We at the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation think so, but you don’t have to take our word for it.

The April edition of Retail Jeweller magazine published a “letter of the month” 1 exposing the fact that Israeli diamonds evade the human rights strictures applied to rough diamonds by the Kimberley Process regulations. According to the editor, Laura McCreddie, the letter caused “consternation” to a number of readers.
