The Congress of South African Trade Union is pleased to announce that its members, dock workers belonging to the South African Transport and Allied Workers Union (SATAWU) achieved a victory last night when they stood firm by their decision not to offload the Johanna Russ, a ship that was carrying Israeli goods to South Africa.

The national Boycott Israeli Goods (BIG) campaign, led by a coalition of pro-Palestine and anti-war groups, aims to impact on Valentines Day sales of flowers, many of which Israel exports to the UK.

Dear Charlatan, As members of Carleton faculty, we wish to express our support for the proposal put forward by Students Against Israeli Apartheid (SAIA Carleton).

In his Jan. 22-28 Charlatan opinion piece, SAIA representative Ben Saifer called for a public debate with the Carleton administration on the academic institutional boycott of Israel.

In Euskal Herria (Basque Country), as in other countries all over the world, there have been many demonstrations in solidarity with Palestine.
