Action Alert

Join #BoycottPUMA Global Day of Action, September 10

Sign up for the next Boycott PUMA Global Day of action as we pledge #NoRestForPUMA in support of Palestinian teams refusing to remain silent about Israel's apartheid regime and corporations like PUMA that support it.

Palestinian sports teams, whose players have lost lives and limbs to Israeli soldiers’ brutal violence, are pledging not to be silent.

They won’t stop speaking out about Israel’s apartheid regime that oppresses all Palestinians, including athletes.

They won’t stop holding accountable corporations that are propping up Israeli apartheid.

That includes PUMA. Support the Palestinian clubs.

Register your group for the next #BoycottPUMA Global Day of Action, September 10.

More than 200 Palestinian teams are calling for an international boycott of PUMA over its ongoing support for Israel’s regime of military occupation and apartheid.

PUMA is the main sponsor of the Israel Football Association, which governs and advocates on behalf of teams in illegal Israeli settlements.

PUMA is feeling the heat! Together, we have caused PUMA to lose millions in important sports contracts, exposed PUMA’s lies, and spread our call for justice with millions worldwide. We won’t stop until PUMA finally ends its complicity in Israeli apartheid.

Join us as we pledge #NoRestForPUMA in support of the Palestinian teams.

Take Action:

Below are ideas for the #BoycottPUMA Day of Action.

Get creative! Bring sports themes to your actions and share on social media.

Use the hashtags #BoycottPUMA, #NoRestForPUMA and #PumaFam.

1. Call on PUMA-sponsored teams to drop PUMA.

Check to see if local teams are sponsored by PUMA and urge them to drop PUMA. Get in touch for a sample letter: pacbi@bdsmovement.net.

Organize an action at a match. Take a photo with your team’s jersey while holding a #BoycottPUMA sign. Actions focusing on local teams are a great way to make the local news.

2. Organize an action at a PUMA shop or retailer.

Use PUMA’s store locator or search for PUMA on Google Maps to find PUMA branded shops in your city.

3. Take action at a PUMA office.

Deliver or send the letter from 200 Palestinian clubs and the SumOfUs petition signed by more than 125,000 people.

PUMA has offices in Germany, the UK, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Austria, Netherlands, France, Czech Republic, Poland, Turkey, South Africa, UAE, the US, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Peru, India, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong.

4. Score a #BoycottPUMA goal for Palestinian rights.

Set up a #BoycottPUMA goal and score a point for Palestinian rights or organize a mock football match. Share a photo or video on social media with the #BoycottPUMA hashtag.

5. Involve the world of sports.

Encourage local sports associations, players, popular sports teams, fan clubs and anti-racist sports tournaments to join actions with photos and videos.

6. Do you own PUMA branded gear? Rebrand it!

Write “Boycott” above the logo of PUMA gear you own, or simply tape over the PUMA logo. Make a short video or take a photo of yourself while rebranding your PUMA gear and post it on social media. Sample tweet:

I bought @PUMA gear before I knew PUMA supports illegal Israeli settlements on stolen Palestinian land.

Until PUMA ends complicity in Israeli apartheid, I'm supporting Palestinian teams calling to #BoycottPUMA and I will #RebrandPUMA. Goodbye #PUMAFam! https://bdsmovement.net/boycott-puma

7. Organize a talk or workshop.

Involve local sports associations in an event on Israel’s attacks on Palestinian sports and the #BoycottPUMA campaign. Get in touch for possible speakers: pacbi@bdsmovement.net.

8. Start a campaign for Divestment.

Investigate whether your pension fund, bank or any other institution you are a member of is an investor in PUMA and mobilize pressure on them to divest. Get in touch for help on this: pacbi@bdsmovement.net.
