November 25 marked the launch of the global BDS Week of Action to hold Hewlett Packard (HP) companies accountable for providing technology that enables Israel's system of occupation, racial segregation and denial of Palestinian human rights.

The Week of Action is called for by the new International Boycott HP Network, led by the Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC), and will extend through December 3rd. Over 100 cities worldwide are participating, with BDS partners in more cities continuing to confirm participation each day. See the BNC’s Boycott HP Week of Action page to find an action near you and resources for organizing actions and campaigns targeting HP for its involvement in Israeli violations of Palestinian rights.

Already on Day 1 two concrete BDS victories were achieved!

The BNC congratulates BDS Italia for successfully working to remove HP from the program of an Italian “Ethics and Social Responsibility in Information Technology” Conference next month. Watch this video of the action in Rome, Italy.

We also salute the Irish Palestine Solidarity Committee (IPSC) and for Derry Councilor, Gary Donnelly, who decommissioned Council issued HP products in support of Palestinian rights.

These victories send a strong message to HP companies that they cannot continue to whitewash their brand by associating it with “ethics” or “social responsibility” while they profit from their complicity in Israeli violations of international law. Harming Palestinians is never ethical or responsible.

Day 2, November 26, saw over 30 cities in the UK joining other cities around the world in global action targeting HP companies. Thanks to the Palestine Solidarity Committee in the UK for planning and coordinating this huge day of action across the country!

You can still join in the action! Check our interactive map to find Boycott HP actions close to you.
