Paid Facebook Ad by Bar-Ilan University's Begin-Sadat Center Advocates Increased “Hopelessness” for Palestinians

The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) calls on all academics, academic societies and student organizations to intensify the academic boycott as a response to this fresh, brutal call for more Israeli war crimes.

The Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies at Bar-Ilan University illustrates just why Palestinian academics and civil society call for a boycott of Israeli academic institutions.

In paid advertising on Facebook, the Begin-Sadat Center openly advocates for generating increased “hopelessness” among Palestinians, who already live under Israel's regime of military occupation, oppression and apartheid in which Israeli universities are deeply complicit.

Bar Ilan has carried out research for the Israeli military and maintains close ties with Israel’s security services, which the UN condemned over use of torture.

The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) calls on all academics, academic societies and student organizations to intensify the academic boycott as a response to this fresh, brutal call for more Israeli war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) was initiated in 2004 to contribute to the struggle for Palestinian freedom, justice and equality. PACBI advocates for the boycott of Israeli academic and cultural institutions, given their deep and persistent complicity in Israel’s denial of Palestinian rights as stipulated in international law.
