As we approach the third anniversary of Israel’s ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, the BDS movement calls on civil society groups and supporters to join the Stop FANUC Now days of action 28 September – 4 October.
FANUC is a Japanese-owned company which manufacturers robots used by Israel’s largest weapons manufacturer, Elbit Systems. FANUC robots are crucial in the manufacturing of 155mm shells, the ammunition most commonly used by Israel in its genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza.
155mm shells are one of the world’s most indiscriminate lethal weapons, exploding into two thousand pieces of shrapnel upon impact, able to kill or injure people in a 600 meter diameter. Israel has fired hundreds of thousands of these unguided shells into Gaza.
Cutting off FANUC’s supply would seriously disrupt Elbit’s weapons production and weaken Israel’s ability to continue its apartheid, genocide, and settler-colonial violence against Indigenous Palestinians.
By knowingly selling the robotic arms that enable the mass production of these Israeli weapons, FANUC is not merely a corporate entity conducting business—it is knowingly and persistently enabling Israel’s genocide and other atrocity crimes against Indigenous Palestinians.

FANUC is present in at least 35 countries. The BDS movement calls on its millions of supporters in over 120 countries worldwide to organize against FANUC in order to disrupt Israel’s military supply chain. Workers, unions and supporters globally must act. The genocide has not stopped, and neither will we.
The Palestinian-led global BDS movement is calling for peaceful protests outside FANUC offices and factories as well as BDS pressure campaigns against FANUC, FANUC’s other clients, and the government of Japan. FANUC must conduct the due diligence necessary to ensure that none of their products or services are enabling Israel’s genocide and apartheid. The movement also calls for pressure campaigns against FANUC university and high school programs.
