Western universities, education ministries, higher education bodies, funding programs, science academies, and publishers have taken swift action in response to Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine. Applying a double standard, higher education institutions have failed to end their complicity in Israeli apartheid. 

The BDS movement urges the Indonesian government to immediately halt all dealings with Israel as if it were a ‘normal’ state'  and to endorse the Amnesty International report and its recommendations.

These trips serve to present Israel in a positive light, whitewashing its regime of military occupation, apartheid, and settler-colonialism and its decades-long denial of Palestinian rights, including the right to education.
