Queer Cinema for Palestine will also host films by some of the 250+ filmmakers who have either withdrawn from or pledged not to participate in TLVFest, the Israeli government-sponsored LGBT film festival, in recognition of their effective solidarity with Palestinians. Palestinian queers have long called for a boycott of TLVFest over its role in pinkwashing the ongoing violence of Israeli apartheid.

TLVFest has also teamed up with “Creative Community for Peace (CCFP),” which is linked to "StandWithUs," an anti-Palestinian, pro-Israeli settler lobby group with close ties to the Israeli government. StandWithUs considers solidarity between Palestinians and Black Americans "a troubling and growing trend," has allied itself with racist homophobe John Hagee and "Christians United for Israel," and partnered with the Israeli government to produce racist propaganda videos that deny the existence of Palestinians.

True to its propaganda mission, CCFP is now attacking queer filmmakers standing in solidarity with Palestinian queers.

Spread the word. CCFP: Not Creative. Not for community. Not for peace.

Queer Cinema for Palestine is organized by Aswat – Palestinian Feminist Center for Sexual and Gender Freedoms, the Toronto Queer Film Festival and the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI), together with dozens of partners around the world.

Under the slogan “Celebrating global queer realities. Standing in solidarity with Palestinians,” QCP is a first-time global queer initiative in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle.
