Over 30 Palestinian Groups Condemn Sanders' Expected "Yes" Vote

33 Palestinian civil society groups have issued a statement condemning a proposed deal that would see military funding for apartheid Israel's Iron Dome system approved in exchange for aid for Gaza.

In response to the expected "yes" vote from Bernie Sanders and other U.S. senators approving a deal that would see military funding for apartheid Israel's Iron Dome system approved in exchange for aid for Gaza, 33 Palestinian civil society groups have issued the below statement in condemnation.

Voting for enabling apartheid Israel's ongoing occupation and siege of Gaza and its repeated massacres there amounts to naked and unjustifiable complicity. It cannot be morally "balanced" or whitewashed by simultaneously advocating charity for the 2 million Palestinians under Israel’s siege to help us tolerate Israeli brutalities, funded by the US.

Working in the U.S. Congress towards ending all military funding to apartheid Israel is a moral and legal obligation of the first rank. It is also the most critical expression of solidarity with the struggle of Palestinians in Gaza and everywhere for freedom, justice and equality.
